Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) is the practice of making your brand easier for AI systems to retrieve, cite, and recommend. It covers how ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and Google AI Overviews understand your category, brand, products, and competitors, and what it takes to influence the answers they generate.

02 How is AEO different from SEO and GEO?

SEO optimizes for traditional search engines and ranking pages. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is one slice of AEO focused on generative answers. AEO is the broader strategy: measurement, entity authority, citations, retrievability, and the technical foundation that influences every AI surface, not just the ranked page.
